most people, programming a DVR is a very personal thing. (Even more so
if you have Cinemax.) Deciding what you want to watch, what you should
watch, and what you shouldn't watch but will anyway -- all of this goes
right to the heart of who you really are.
So we were a little surprised to learn that Entertainment Weekly
had made a deal with TiVo that would allow the magazine's editors to
decide what your device will record. "I think this closes the loop on
the promise of our brand, which helps
you make the most of your entertainment time," the magazine's publisher told The Wall Street Journal.
