Seth MacFarlane's Web Cartoons Remind Us of the Time He Did Gags Like That on "Family Guy"

When we first heard that Fox animation impresario Seth MacFarlane had made a deal with Google to produce 50 two-minute cartoons for the Internet, we weren't sure what to think. Would they be like the throwaway gags that constantly interrupt the story on Family Guy and American Dad, or something entirely different?

"Family Guy" Creator To Rule the Internet

If you spend any time at all looking for fun stuff on the Internet -- and since you're here, we're betting you do -- you're about to encounter a lot more of Seth MacFarlane's particular brand of wacky cartoon humor. According to the New York Times, the creator of Fox's Family Guy and American Dad has struck a deal to broadcast 50 two-minute episodes of a new mini-show, Seth MacFarlane's Cartoon Cavalcade, across the Web.

Hey, remember back in the '90's when Fox tried to convince us that they had an honest-to-Mulder alien autopsy on tape? Well, looks like we might have a sequel in the works today, as someone in Denver is going to release a video to the media purporting to be an alien walking around, wisecracking, and sounding a lot like Paul Lynde. Oh, hang on: are we thinking of something else?
