Jim Cramer: Jon Stewart Will "Answer For It"

Posted by Jake Kalish

Wow, that's vague and kinda threatening, isn't it? Once again, when not actually face-to-face with Jon Stewart, CNBC's Jim Cramer got all blustery...

"I tried not to take it personally, but it was so vicious," Cramer tells Time magazine, out tomorrow. "The ultimate takeaway from the evening was, Jim, why didn't you defend yourself? And the answer is, I was trying to defend our network and take a high road and I didn't want to hit him with a chair or break his face or something like that. But he was very vicious. One day he'll answer for it."

Whoa. So does that mean when you've come to the end of the high road (and you may have reached it already, Jimmy) you will hit him with a chair or break his face or something like that? We'd pay mad money to see you try that. But we're not bullish on the possibility.

Lindy Parker has worked as a ghostwriter, editor, dance instructor and a purveyor of dreams, one beer at a time. She loves Charles Dickens and Gabriel Garcia Marquez and also, straight-to-video releases with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It's possible she reads more teen fiction than she should. She hails from Los Angeles, her hometown and soul mate, but she lives in Brooklyn, the fling she'll never forget.

Olivia Purnell left Ohio for sunny Los Angeles; then found that she couldn’t ignore New York City’s call, and brought herself to Brooklyn where she has worked with GenArt, BlackBook, the School of American Ballet, and finished an M.A. in Creative Writing from N.Y.U. She loves one-liners with sting and hates the stench of the subway in the summer. That said, she can’t get enough of either.
