The Remote Island

Congratulations, Chyler Leigh!

Posted by Jake Kalish

Chyler, who we know and love as Lexie Grey on Grey's Anatomy, just had her third child, at the young age of 27. It's a girl, and the baby's name is un-be-fucking-lievable...

Welcome to the world, Anniston Kae West.

Anniston? Like Jennifer Aniston? You think that extra N does anything? Is Jennifer Aniston your favorite Friend? Did you read one too many issues of Us Weekly? You've got one out - if you're from Anniston, Alabama. Nope, you're sure not. And your hubby isn't either. And also, what does this have to do with Jennifer Aniston not having a child yet? Is this some sort of weird taunt? Oh, hold on, let's see if Wikipedia can help us out:

Leigh has said that she and her husband have a pact in which the person who guesses the baby's gender correctly gets to choose the name. When pregnant with Noah, she guessed she was having a boy so she chose the first name and Nathan gave him his middle name. For Taelyn, Nathan correctly guessed it was a girl, so he named her. Their third child, also a girl, was guessed correctly by West; he will choose the name.

Well, if that's true, then it's all this guy's fault. Regardless, we wish you and your unfortunately named child all the joy in the world.

Lindy Parker has worked as a ghostwriter, editor, dance instructor and a purveyor of dreams, one beer at a time. She loves Charles Dickens and Gabriel Garcia Marquez and also, straight-to-video releases with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It's possible she reads more teen fiction than she should. She hails from Los Angeles, her hometown and soul mate, but she lives in Brooklyn, the fling she'll never forget.

Olivia Purnell left Ohio for sunny Los Angeles; then found that she couldn’t ignore New York City’s call, and brought herself to Brooklyn where she has worked with GenArt, BlackBook, the School of American Ballet, and finished an M.A. in Creative Writing from N.Y.U. She loves one-liners with sting and hates the stench of the subway in the summer. That said, she can’t get enough of either.
