Zachary Quinto Couldn't Do The Vulcan Salute?

Posted by Jake Kalish

Some Spock. How can he not be able to do this?  We're still totally seeing the new Star Trek, because it's J.J. Abrams and it's supposed to be great. And we like Zachary Quinto - he was one of the best things about that fabulous first season of Heroes, before everything started to fall apart. But if this story from the New York Post's Page Six is true, dude needs to be teased a little...

ZACHARY Quinto, who plays Spock in the new "Star Trek" film, "couldn't train his fingers to do the 'live long and prosper' Vulcan salute," a source says. When tying rubber bands around his fingers didn't work, fed-up director J.J. Abrams "glued Zachary's fingers together during filming."

Hmm, that salute at the end of the movie did seem a kind of half-assed.. Doesn't matter though he's so cute he can get away with it.

Lindy Parker has worked as a ghostwriter, editor, dance instructor and a purveyor of dreams, one beer at a time. She loves Charles Dickens and Gabriel Garcia Marquez and also, straight-to-video releases with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It's possible she reads more teen fiction than she should. She hails from Los Angeles, her hometown and soul mate, but she lives in Brooklyn, the fling she'll never forget.

She loves one-liners with sting and hates the stench of the subway in the summer. That said, she can’t get enough of either.
