"Heroes" Star Hayden Panettiere Loves Her Some Bristol Palin

Posted by Lindy Parker

After the hot mess that was the Tyra Banks-fueled showdown between Bristol Palin's baby daddy, Levi Johnston, and the former Republican vice presidential nominee, it's nice to see Bristol Palin out and about and forming fast friendships with TV stars...

Hayden Panettiere, 19, and young mom Bristol Palin attended the Candie's Foundation town hall meeting on teenage pregnancy prevention for National Teen Pregnancy Awareness Day in NYC Wednesday.

"It's very nice that she's come out to support this, and it's nice to have her," Panettiere said. "Teenagers get to look at her, and she can say, 'This happened to me.' This is all politics aside. She is just a girl out here saying, 'Look, it happened to me -- it can happen to you.'"  (Us Weekly)

Question: if Bristol Palin was a hero/villain, what would her power be?  Super-human fertility?  Continuing the mutant race?  Perhaps her infant son is the last hope for civilization and Levi Johnston was actually sent from the future to impregnate her?  Sorry, that's a different show.

Unrelated: Does it seem as though Bristol Palin might use a bumpit?

About Lindy Parker

Lindy Parker has worked as a ghostwriter, editor, dance instructor and a purveyor of dreams, one beer at a time. She now writes for nerve.com's TV blog, "The Remote Island." She loves Charles Dickens and Gabriel Garcia Marquez and also, straight-to-video releases with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It's possible she reads more teen fiction than she should. She hails from Los Angeles, her hometown and soul mate, but she lives in Brooklyn, the fling she'll never forget.

Olivia Purnell left Ohio for sunny Los Angeles; then found that she couldn’t ignore New York City’s call, and brought herself to Brooklyn where she has worked with GenArt, BlackBook, the School of American Ballet, and finished an M.A. in Creative Writing from N.Y.U. She loves one-liners with sting and hates the stench of the subway in the summer. That said, she can’t get enough of either.
