Dennis Leary Does Rehab [VIDEO]

Posted by Olivia Purnell

Did you know Dennis Leary sings?  Yeah, the viciously acerbic/ranting “I Want My MTV”/depressed firefighter from Rescue Me, that Dennis Leary . . . he sings.  And with all that snarl and venom you’d think he’d either slow-croon backroads blues (“Since my baby left me . . .” etc., etc., so forth) or drop a hard-core rap album (“Fuck the Police,” etc. etc.).

Nope, Dennis’ song stylings are more like Jimmy Buffet meets Amy Winehouse.

Have a looksie.

If Leary could collabo with Amy Winehizzle on the remix, we might just buy that album on itunes . .  . or at least the single . . . Maybe.

Honestly, this is the Dennis we prefer:

Yeah, take that Marky-Mark.

Lindy Parker has worked as a ghostwriter, editor, dance instructor and a purveyor of dreams, one beer at a time. She loves Charles Dickens and Gabriel Garcia Marquez and also, straight-to-video releases with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. It's possible she reads more teen fiction than she should. She hails from Los Angeles, her hometown and soul mate, but she lives in Brooklyn, the fling she'll never forget.

She loves one-liners with sting and hates the stench of the subway in the summer. That said, she can’t get enough of either.
