We're not sure what to make of British chef Gordon Ramsay these days. We've never made it through a full episode of either Hell's Kitchen or Kitchen Nightmares mostly because angry cursing makes us feel anxious -- we prefer Tom Colicchio's approach to mentoring reality show chefs: maintain a stoic, slightly mysterious calm, with a bemused smile thrown in every once in a while. But, now it appears Gordon Ramsay is showing US audiences the softer side of Sears with a new, live cooking special on Fox...
Ramsay's doing a special cooking show for Fox
in the Julia Child tradition, teaching how to do what he does. The idea
is for Gordon to create a three-course dinner while giving home viewers
instructions about how to do it with him. Across the pond, as they say, Ramsay did a show like this called Gordon Ramsay: Cookalong Live,
which is what this might be. (TV Squad)
We have to say, we like the idea of this special -- maybe without all the obnoxious bleeping we could actually get psyched about Ramsay's expertise.
