Michael Cera will be Gilligan in "Gilligan's Island" Movie

Michael Cera has reportedly agreed to play Gilligan in the Gilligan's Island remake - and Gilligan creator Sherwood Schwartz is trying to land Beyonce for the role of Ginger.

We like Cera as Gilligan - amazing how his career has taken off, to the point where he's now the key to the Arrested Development movie. You go, Paulie Bleeker.

Okay, I can see him in the part, but Beyonce as Ginger!?!  Come on!  In a case of art imitating life, use Lindsey Lohan.  She's a redhead and has the inflated ego/diva thing down pat already.

But really, what's the point?  Can't Hollywood do anything original?  Gilligan's Island???  I suppose since they've already done McHale's Navy and Sgt. Bilco, this was inevitable...
