The theme from 'Moonraker' may not be anybody's wedding song, but it's still a DAMN good piece of music. Sure the lyrics are goofy, but just listen to that beautiful opening! It was gorgeous the first time I heard it (in a theater at the age of ten) and it's still gorgeous.

It isn't the title theme (that's an instrumental) but the best Bond song ever is John Barry & Hal David's "We Have All the Time in the World" as sung by Louis Armstrong from the very underrated On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Armstrong's last recording, and the title is the last line of the film, said by Bond as he cradles his dead wife in his arms... Just a beautiful song.

Doesn't "The Look of Love" count?

A correction is needed, however, to your note about Alice Cooper and "The Man With the Golden Gun". Alice saw the usual teaser announcement of the next title at the end of "Live and Let Die" and wrote a song with the same name for the "Muscle of Love" album, thinking that the producers would practically have no choice but to use it. It's not clear if Broccoli and crew ever even heard the song or knew of its existence, but do you think they were going to pass up a chance to use Lulu?
