Those who live in hope of Veronica Mars reaching the big screen…this is not the news you’re waiting for. Kristen Bell will star in You Again, the comedy from Race to Witch Mountain director Andy Fickman. “Written by Moe Jelline, the story follows a young woman (Bell) who finds out her brother is marrying the girl who made her high school years a living hell. She tries to find a way to show her brother the fiancee's true colors,” per The Hollywood Reporter.
Whatever happened to Elisabeth Shue? Two words for you: Piranha 3D. “Horror redo helmed by Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes) is set for a March 19 release,” Variety reports. I guess it’s important to lock down that coveted date a year in advance. “Shue plays the town sheriff trying to save the lake and her family from being devoured by the sharp-toothed fish. Adam Scott will star as a diver for the U.S. Geological Service who helps discover the piranha outbreak.”
Blake Masters, creator of the Showtime series Brotherhood, will adapt the graphic novel 2 Guns for Universal. “The project aims to be a throwback to classic '80s buddy cop movies in the vein of Lethal Weapon and 48 HRS, but with a modern spin,” THR warns.
