Funny how all of the fellow brown people I know are left-leaning.

If this dude starts being considered as a serious candidate there will probably be a backlash from a lot of people from his own ethnic background...

He did a good job handling Gustav, and... okay. That's all I got. Still, just by not leaving New Orleanians to die he's already a step ahead of a lot of GOPers.

He also says that he helped to perform an exorcism on a friend--that's kooky. He probably also believes that the world is flat, that spontaneous generation is how new rats are made, and that tickle down tax cuts work. Why did he become a Catholic? Wasn't Hinduism crazy enough for him? I guess the Virgin Birth and transubstantiation are the fairy tales of choice for him. I'm sure "God" will be talking to him to let him know what to do since it worked out really well for us when Bush heard the voice of the sky bully telling him to invade Iraq.

Describing the political view that hatred and intrusiveness are normal as crazy is, in my view, entirely defensible. And if that means all serious Republicans are crazy, so be it. If you don't like it, try to defend your ideology. Just try.

If Obama does his job, it doesn't matter who the elephants nominate, they will lose in a landslide and none of these "hot" prospects will want to run against him. We'll get Palin and a couple of others.

Jindel is a big time prospect for 2012. If not for the hurricane and him having to cancel at the Republican National Convention, he would be the brightest star for the GOP now. They set him up to give an Obama-esque speech (2004 Dem Convention). Instead we had to endure days of Palin speculation.
