Rosario Dawson Will Never Stop Having to Discuss Her Sex Scenes

There's apparently something called T Magazine and Rosario Dawson did an interview for it a few weeks back.

In it, she discusses lesbian sex, being completely naked on screen, abortion, and the following sex scene...

That's from Alexander, the Oliver Stone film Dawson addresses in her T Mag interview:

The only sex scene I’ve done that caused a fuss was the one I did with Colin Farrell in ‘‘Alexander.’’ That scene was intense. I thought it was necessary to the movie — in life sometimes you’re naked. But it was not soft porny in any way, which would have been harder for me. My brother, who D.J.’s in a strip club, was relieved when he saw it. He said he was happy that I ‘‘was fit.’’ He didn’t want to be embarrassed around his friends.

Sorry, Rosario, but it's an Oliver Stone film-- it was definitely soft-porny.

She also discusses lesbian sex, her mother nearly having her aborted, and love scenes with Will Smith:

I didn’t have sex until was 20. I got into trouble at school because one of my friends said, ‘‘Lesbians do it with straws.’’ I said, ‘‘I can tell you how lesbians do it, and there are no straws involved!’’ But I think all that talk of sex put me off. The first time I had it, I think it was in a head-to-toe rubber. I was terrified of getting pregnant. My mom was planning to get an abortion when she was pregnant with me. She was at the clinic waiting for her appointment and she felt me move in her stomach. I always tell her it was probably gas. I thank God for gas.
Before our first major kiss, [Will Smith] said, ‘‘Let’s go — I’m going to nail this scene. I want to go home.’’ [Laughs] But he focused. Kissing can be more intimate than nudity. You have to take your time.

We don't know about that last one-- getting attacked by a horny Colin Farrell, trying to kill him, and then having full on-screen sex is pretty intimate. It almost made us embarrassed for having been so pleased to see her naked... almost.

Have you heard about this live show called Celebrity Biographies where celebrities read from terrible celebrity books, such as Loni Anderson's memoirs? (Kristen Wiig, Rachel Dratch, and Sherri Shepherd are among the usual readers and the show is supposedly hysterical.)

Well, a couple of dudes from who knows where took this idea a step further-- they made this video of themselves putting on Shakespearean airs and reading celebrity sex tapes...

Remember a year ago when Colin Farrell, in Toronto for the Toronto International Film Festival, gave a homeless man $3,000 and implored him to get sober and get his life together? Yeah, neither did we.

But some Canadians haven't forgotten. They've actually gone as far as to track down the man Farrell gifted last year. So how's he doing?

According to this article, pretty damn well. The guy, named Stress, "was hopeless and ready to give up" when Farrell found him in a doorway and "gave him cash for lodgings, plus a shopping spree of three grand." Today, "Stress is clean and sober, has a comfy bachelor pad, goes to church and the Y and darts around town on a mountain bike."

Hot Damn! Who knew all that Hollywood money could actually help somebody. Call Angelina Jolie and let her know.

Scanner Roundtable: Does Stubble = Sex(ier)?

A new research study has concluded that women 18 to 44 overwhelmingly prefer men with stubble to men who are clean shaven or have beards. The research also goes a long way toward explaining this strange phenomenon and the answer is, well... maybe you already figured it out.

The study was conducted by psychologists at Britain's Northumbria University and concluded that

that stubbly men may offer women the best worlds - not too strongly masculine, but mature and with the potential to grow a full beard.
The researchers carried out the study using computer technology to alter pictures of 15 men’s faces so that they displayed different degrees of hairiness. Five levels of facial hair were used - clean-shaven, light stubble, heavy stubble, light beard and full beard.
The pictures were shown to 76 women who were asked to rate them for masculinity, aggression, dominance, attractiveness, age, and social maturity. They were also asked how desirable each man would be as a short-term or long-term partner.

Meanwhile, the study determined that men with beards look approxamitely five years older than they really are, plus are considered the least attractive of the five levels of facial-hair thickness. Clearly, Scanner Emily was not invited to participate in this survey.

[E]xperts in human evolution say that that facial hair may be a signal of aggression because it boosts the apparent size of the lower jaw, emphasising the teeth as weapons.

How bizarre... and, um, interesting. Although we don't recall Mike Tyson having any stubble when he bit Evander Holyfield's ear... or even Russell Crowe as anything but clean cut when he turned that phone into a javelin. Oh well... maybe you can help us understand the whole stubble thing, for starters. Does anyone out there prefer men with stubble? Or prefer men not to have it? Why?

Ain't It Cool News is reporting that not one but three Hollywood hunks will be enlisted to complete Heath Ledger's unfinished work on Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus: Johnny Depp, Jude Law, and Colin Farrell. No confirmation of that just yet, you understand, but just on the chance that it's true, we're gonna take a moment to crush out on everybody involved. We were starting to feel a little ghoulish about wanting to see Parnassus so badly, but anything with this lineup would be worth checking out -- and if we can consider these guys' work on the flick a tribute of sorts to Heath, it might be the best one we're likely to get.

We're starting a new feature here at Scanner... because somebody has to talk about gay sex (Ted Haggard unfortunately has other commitments) and it might as well be "Brian Fairbanks," who when Googled, may bring up another Brian Fairbanks. A very, very gay "Brian Fairbanks."

By the way, that is a young Colin Farrell pictured above. You know, pre-beer gut days. He's the announced best man at his brother's gay wedding this spring in-- sorry for the cliche-- Provincetown, Massachusetts.

Obama is in more hot water with the gay community, and once again with San Francisco womanizer/mayor Gavin Newsom (yeah, fuckin' Joanna's cousin, yo!), over the Senator's refusal to take a picture with the California mayor after learning Newsom allowed gay marriage in his city of sin.

Speaking of California, the State's Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments over whether gay marriage is legal starting in early March.

Stan McGee, the only openly-gay member of Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick's administration, was arrested in Florida for sexually assaulting a 15 year old. They've managed to keep it under wraps until today, even though he was arrested before New Year's. Hmmm...

And the cost of the newly-legal Oregon wedding? A whopping $60. Take that, J Lo.

Colin Farrell Accuser Gets Pinched For Prostitution

First things first: click here to open up a MySpace page in the background. You're gonna want a certain piece of musical accompaniment before you read this post. Don't worry. We'll wait. Got it? OK, Let's do this.

Dessarae Bradford, the author of the publishing sensation Colin Farrell: A Dark and Twisted Puppy and performer of the song that you are hearing now (which depsite Alec Baldwin getting all the early lines is called "Colin Farrell is My Bitch") was arrested in November for prostitution. From Bradford's account -- which is posted on that MySpace page from before; read it only if you hate yourself -- she was unjustly accused of the crime in a sting, and plans on suing the LAPD for racism, sexism, dadaism, and somebody-get-me-on-meds-ism.

We wish Bradford all the luck in the world with this, since the last big lawsuits she got involved with -- against Mr. Farrell, who she accused of harassing her with text messages -- weren't exactly raging successes. One wonders if that time where she crashed Farrell's interview on the Leno show had anything to do with it?
