A 51-year-old Tiwannese man was minding his business, literally, when he felt a "knife-like pain" and jumped up from the toilet. When he looked down, he saw a lot more than his business in the bowl.
A "rat snake" had come through the plumbing system—possibly through a crack in the lid of the septic tank—and made its way to the man's toilet, and then to his penis.
"I felt an excruciating pain in my lower body, like someone had stabbed me with a knife, shortly after sitting on the toilet bowl," the man told the Taipei Times. And he was incredibly calm about the whole thing.
"It was the snake's signal for help when it bit me, he said. "If it hadn't maybe it would have been stuck in the septic tank and either suffocated or starved to death. It looked like an accident but it was actually fate."
Fate for him, another thing for the rest of us to be freaked out about every time we sit down on the toilet for the rest of our lives.
