Well, really Amy Winehouse looks pretty great there so that's probably not effective. She looks so great, you wouldn't know she has emphysema.
That's right, kids. According to her father, Winehouse is in the early stages of emphysema.
"With smoking the crack cocaine and the cigarettes her lungs are all gunked up," Mitch Winehouse tells the Sunday Mirror in the U.K. "There are nodules around the chest and dark marks. She's got 70 percent lung capacity."
That's some nasty shit. We watched our grandmother die of it, more than 20 years after she quit smoking, so we hope this serves as a wake-up call to the singer.
Her father, Mitch, believes it is.
"When we got to the hospital a room was ready," Mitch Winehouse tells the newspaper. "Several doctors came in and checked to make sure she didn't need any emergency treatment. They put her on a drip straight away because she was dehydrated. She said, 'Don't worry about me, dad. I know I've got to stop taking drugs now.'"
We'll believe it when we see it, but here's hoping Mitch is right so she can save that lovely voice and make a few more albums before she loses her shit for good.
