Hot Or Not: Skinny Actresses

Posted by Brian Fairbanks

Is a major fox like Jennifer Connelly still hot even if she drops down to 83 pounds?

A picture of her in the good ol' days provides unquestionable evidence of her basic and amazing hotness:

Film School Rejects argues that Jennifer Connelly is too skinny to be hot these days, and cites "Requiem For A Dream" as the last appearance of her sex appeal. (We, on the other hand, wonder how anyone can remember any of "Requiem," which we've blocked out like the time we saw our friend's ancient mother swimming topless.)

Thandie Newton, on the other hand, hasn't gotten the Rejects excited since "M:I 2," one of the unintentionally funniest movies ever made. (Forgive us for having blocked out her presence there, as well.) We did manage to arouse a little interest in her during "Crash" in 2005, although admittedly she was only a few pizza burgers beyond an exoskeleton.

What do we think? Are these chicks still hot, even without some curves to keep things interesting?

Check out the full list, which includes Angelina Jolie, Kate Bosworth, and Victoria Beckham, at Ten Skinny-Ass Ladies Who Used To Be Hot and report your observations in the comments.

as the internet says, I would still hit it like the fist of an angry god.  but i wouldn't frown on them eating a little bit more.  I also would have called J.Connelly hot in both A Beautiful Mind and Hulk.

I like skinny girls, but there is a point where a little fat in the right places is just...errr..necessary.  It's nothing a couple of big macs and protein shakes wouldn't take care of

Hotness comes from both within and 'without', so they're still HOT. By-the-way, I think I read that J.C. had breast reduction to enhance her 'serious actor' creds. True??

Love the skinny girls.  Connelly is the hottest of the hot at any weight, but even better at the low end of the spectrum.  Posh was never hot to begin with.

though I prefer my ladies with a little meat on their bones, I do acknowledge that there are some hotties out there who are just naturally twig-like and wear it well. The likes of JC and nameless other starlets who went from being a more "normal" and curvaceous size down to borderline emaciated? You are going to have a rough time convincing me that that is a result of adopting a healthier lifestyle. It wreaks of social pressure, work pressure and anorexia to me. Pretty fucked up. We'll just have to wait to hear all about it on her E True Hollywood Story.

Gweneth Paltrow has always been a birch tree, but I would agree that most of the others on that list have lost a lot of appeal to me. You should want to throw yourself at someone and squeeze/grope them visciously all over -- not have to hold back in fear of breaking them!

Jennifer Connelly is indeed a case of someone who I MUCH preferred when she was more curvaceous. Give me her in 'The Rocketeer' anyday...

Ya'll are crazy with the skinny fetish.  Sickly bony bitches are GROSS.  There's no THERE there!

I always thought part of her appeal was that she was not ultra-thin.  Minus her curves, I think she loses some sex appeal.  Bones are for dogs, meat is for men.

If Jennifer Connelly drops down past 100, I will be unholy PISSED. I blame bloggers who scrutinized the pictures of her at the Blood Diamond premiere, circling her belly with their judgemental little white pens (you know who you are) and labelled the pictures "Pregnant or just fat?". She's hot no matter what, but she looks all the more with hips and boobs.
