It's so hard for me to say anything about childbirth and the fear of it for so, so many of today's women, and the orgy of drugs they demand immediately.

Because I'm a man.

However if you asked my wife she'd be exactly the same, she'd had three kids, all without a bit of drugs, and really... it's:

* Not as bad as you might think (well, it's bad, sure, it hurts a lot, sure... but it's a pain with a purpose, and it's limited in length)

* The utter feeling of empowerment over doing it YOURSELF without INTERFERENCE, without needing to be sliced open, is immense and makes you a stronger woman for it.

* You recover much faster, and are not left with a tummy scar from vaginal birth.

You really CAN do it naturally, especially if you get a good independent midwife to help you manage the incredibly pro ceasar hospitals), and also if you don't succumb to be being forced to give birth lying down in a ridiculous position that makes gravity give you no help whatsoever... walk around, squat, do whatever YOU want to make the pain bearable.

Yep, I've given birth FOUR times.  No pain meds.  It hurt like hell, but it was over fast, and I was up walking around the next day.  And the babies weren't doped up, so they nursed easily and quickly.  But I must say, I did NOT have any orgasms with any of the births.  Not even close.  To each her own!

That midwife's name is Ina May Gaskin. She's and old and famous midwifery guru. I am also a midwife, and I have seen loads of women give birth without meds and do wonderfully. None of them have ever reported having an orgasm.
