Now that we've calmed down a bit we can share this update on the
state of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act proposed by Congressman
Barney Frank. While previously
Frank had suggested excluding
transgender people from the proposed bill that would protect lesbians
and gays from being fired or not promoted because of sexual orientation
Frank has now followed out lesbian Rep. Tammy Baldwin's lead
and decided to reinstate the "T" and extend protection to transgender
employees as well. This is good news. Now we won't be forced to arm our
hamsters and storm Washington, DC. (via Queerty)
