Rug on Rye, Hold the Mayo

Posted by Laureen Mahler

This is the meat counter at Genova, a sweet Italian deli that's right around the corner from my apartment. They have hands-down the best mortadella sandwich I have ever had, ever. I'm talking so good I'd give my right arm for a morty on sourdough with everything (and that's my one-handed blogging arm). It might be Genova, or the Italian genes I've got mixed up somewhere, but give me a sliced meat sandwich and I'll be your fast friend.

Which is why I am so smitten with these sliced meat rugs:

[€249, Das rote Paket]

Don't you just want to pick one up and make a sandwich with it?
