Call me anal, but I am not a big fan of owning more than one pair of sneakers of the same brand. Luckily, there are more brands available than ever. (Thank you, entrepreneurial rappers, rise of skateboarding and rich dudes whose hobbies include reanimating extremely sleepy brands.) Case in point, these monochromatic beauties…
They’re PF Flyers. I’ve never owned a pair. And up until a few years ago, vintage would’ve been my only option. Thankfully, they’ve been resuscitated. And mostly unchanged. These are Bob Cousy (legendary Boston Celtic) signature models, first made in the 1950s. Hard to believe that pros used to ball in these. I picked up green ones, but they also come in white, blue and black, which are all fine options if you already own a pair of Hulk-colored (Mr. Banner not Mr. Hogan) shoes.
