Sadly, by the time you read this, the auction will most likely be over, and none of these will ever be made again. But for posterities sake, please feel free to torture yourself with what might have been.
Taking over 50 hours to make by hand, this limited to one edition of Monopoly has been altered to theme it around everyone’s favorite tale of the American Dream gone wrong, There Will Be Blood. Featuring pieces including a Model T, an oil derrick, a bowling pin, and of course, a milkshake, the game also faithfully reproduces places and events from the movie. These include the Plainview Estate, and the Church of the 3rd Revelation standing in for Boardwalk and Park Place, as well as corner spaces labeled “Go To Church,” and the opposite space marked “Church,” and “Just Pretending.”
As a lover of both Monopoly and There Will Be Blood, I hope Transcendent Films (creators of the board) mass produces these.
