Last week, I told you about the Silverfish Aquarium, the modular fish Habitrail your goldfish having been begging you for. However, I had no idea how it was priced, and promised to get back to you all about. Well, consider yourself gotten back to.
I just talked to Sarah Lahey at Octopus Studios, and it turns out the Silverfish is pretty reasonably priced for a customized aquarium created on the beaches of Europe, and shipped directly to your mansion or yacht:
For our overseas clients we are currently setting up partnerships with approved importers. This will in effect allow someone to purchase the entire kit including electrical parts (obviously specific to their region), and not be in a position to pay the import tax. In the past we have offered the aquarium without the electrical items and shipped direct to the client and specified what is required to complete the fully functioning aquarium. We still offer shipping directly worldwide.
The current export list price (to a non-European Union country) is 2200 Euros. This price includes all pieces listed on the website for a fully functioning aquarium (including stand), except for any electrical equipment (due to the different regulations). Or 2600 Euros complete - where the electrical standards are interchangeable.
So there you have it… Definitely a higher priced item, but it’s also totally killer looking, so maybe worth it?
That being said, now I need to follow up on the totally apt question Materialista Tori commented on the last post on this subject: How do you clean this thing?
